Emmanuel was one of the CCPA OFFS identified in 2019 by the CCPA coordinator in Torit County. Ojiok like other OFFS coaches who joint the technical skills trainings in Torit Vocational Train Centre [TVTC] shows his differences others in way struggling for his 6 children to survive. He was a regular and a punctual trainee as registered by her instructors in the department of Auto Mechanic right away from the start of training in October 2021, Emmanuel managed to complete his course in march and he graduated in April 2022. He realized his potential and skills after he started a new venture during August – December 2022. He is now earning in a day probably 6000ssp independently and become a best known nearby mechanic in the community after being trained by GASS in partnership with CCPA. He undertakes orders for repairing generators and motorcycles within his area and other bicycles for small kids. Emmanuel Ojiok is very grateful with GLOBAL AIM SOUTH SUDAN and CROSS CULTURE PROJECT ASSOCAITION for coming up with this initiative but he GASS and CCPA to provide them with starts up kits to boost their acquired vocational skills.
Global Aim South Sudan as the implementing partner at the genesis the project, held a number of meetings with the State Ministry of Education Sciences and Technologies [SMOEST] department TVET for the smooth running of the project. Managed to mobilized the OFFS coaches during the vocational clarification and sensitization of the OFFS coaches to ensure that their right choices are in place. GASS called for formation of the VSLA group members and it was established. The members of this group were trained on VSLA methodologies as well training on small scale business management skills. GLOBAL AIM SOUTH SUDAN together with CCPA provided five [5] tailoring machines with their accessories and fourteen [14] bails of sport clothes material to the OFFS coaches in the department of Tailoring only but majority of them from the other department of Auto mechanic, hairdressing and catering did get any of the starts up kits up to now.
Emmanuel Ojiok observed that changes like provision of supportive funds to the OFFS coaches will actually be and added advantages and this can attract very many OFFS coaches to join the vocational training skills. He also reiterated that the trainings help most of them who were committed and he see some difference between now and then. He believes that the little she can get now daily have made him to put the cup of tea in morning for his family. Which is a sign of changes in her family compared to the previous life which I had before being trained by GASS. Emmanuel request if the training could continue to bring many women from poor background to board.
Emmanuel added that if GASS and CCPA could also provide other OFFS coaches from other department of Mechanics, Catering and Hair dressing some starts up kits so that they also enjoy the skills they acquired from TVTC.
