Safari Ibalu is a 28 years old teacher living in Enyif village of Ifwotu payam Eastern Equatoria State since 2010. Ibalu is a senior four leaver since 2018 and is now teaching in Enyif primary school. Ibalu is also married and a mother of two children. Ibalu said besides teaching her other source of livelihood is farming and owning a small retail shop in Enyif village business center.
Ibalu said she is now a proud teacher because her pupils are now able to study freely without the worry of where to get drinking water from. She said compared to before pupils use to come with their water from homes which was not safe and easy for many of them. She believes that the school has greatly improved in very many aspects since water was rehabilitated.
“You can see now the number of pupils have increased since this water was rehabilitated” Ibalu said. With the availability of water they now have full control of their pupils and most families are now planning to come nearer since there is already water available for them.
“We the teachers are very grateful for this organization for remembering us through the work they have done to this school” Ibalu added.
