Night Karlo is ten years olg girl and a resident of Enyif village of Motti Boma in Ifwotu Payam of Torit County. Night is also a pupil of Enyif Primary School located about two (2) kilometers south of Enyif village center where she lives. Night is the first child with three other brothers whose parents primarily rely on farming as their main source of livelihood.
Night says that she and her other colleagues in the school are happy that they can now have clean water for drinking and practicing hygiene. She says that they use to carry water along with them using plastic bottles from home every day they come for school, “Every day we come with drinking water from home using cristal (plastic bottle) because there was no water in the school” she said. Night said they were forced to manage on the water for the five hours they will be in school because the school is far from home. She added that there she is now coming to school every day compared to before the water was not there.
Night was very thankful for Global Aim for their support to the pupils of Enyif primary school and that they are now the same with pupils of schools within Torit town because we can now drink clean water and wash our hands with soap like them. “We now have drinking water and tank for hand washing like other schools in Torit town” she added.
